"You've been selected." Four days after the State of Play reveal, Rematch posted a letter signed Coach Gabi, "Project Director, Rematch x Blue Lock". It invites players, the "diamonds in the rough", to join a special player training program: the Blue Lock Project. The message is clear: the September 24, 2026 collaboration will not be just four outfits. Sloclap is staging the players' entry into the Blue Lock project, exactly like Ego Jinpachi summoning the 300 strikers in chapter 1 of the manga.

Every line points back to the manga. "Shatter your limits" and "your individual strengths" is Ego's speech about the striker's ego. "Understand your teammates' playstyles" is the lesson of the second selection arc, when Isagi learns to play with Nagi, Barou and then Rin. Sloclap did not just paste a logo: the Paris studio wrote a summons in the tone of the series.
Who is Coach Gabi?
Coach Gabi is Rematch's iconic coach, the character Sloclap uses to embody the game in its communications. Giving him the title of "Project Director" of the collaboration makes him the Ego Jinpachi of Rematch: the one who selects, trains and eliminates. It is one more hint about the shape of the event.
